Children at Seacoast have an added opportunity to enjoy the resource rich community environment of Myrtle Beach, a major tourist destination on the east coast.

For Seacoast, getting the community involved is a top priority. There are several local contributors in the area who donate time and facilities for use by Seacoast. The following are just a few.

Community Sponsorship

Sons of Italy

Drawing on their Italian heritage, the Sons of Italy have organized a spaghetti supper with the children of Seacoast Youth Academy at their banquet hall. During this dinner, they also provided a multitude of Christmas gifts, entertainment, and personal time with each child, ensuring a traditional holiday.

Since Christmas, their support has continued to flourish as many members of the organization share personal time with children, sponsor birthdays, and provide monetary donations to meet the basic needs of the children. Our kids love them and see them as surrogate grandparents. We thank them for their continued support and look forward to a lasting relationship.

Employees and Patrons associated with the Finish Line Grill

The employees and patrons associated with the Finish Line Grill, in Little River, South Carolina, have adopted the children here at Seacoast Youth Academy and have developed several activities related to holiday themes. Julie Andrew and Erin Doyle have spearheaded a compaign to motivate the patrons of Finish Line Grill to get involved.

Community Resources
We Support
The Autism Advocate Foundation
Autism Advocate The Autism Advocate Foundation is a non-profit organization formed by parents of children with Autism Spectrum Disorders living in Horry County, South Carolina.
The Special Kid Sponsor Program
The Special Kid Sponsor Program works on behalf of children in Horry, Georgetown and surrounding counties to improve their quality of life and the care they receive. There are over 300 children currently enrolled in local foster care due to abuse and/or neglect and many of these children have no family involvement. Several of these children suffer from emotional and/or developmental disabilities. The sponsorship program is committed to providing children with nurturing and caring role models. In addition to assisting children, the program makes a special effort to educate the community about foster care and how one can help make a difference in the lives of children in need.
