As a licensed, South Carolina Department of Social Services Child Caring Institute, Seacoast Youth Academy strives to provide the optimal level of care, guidance, and support to our children.

Seacoast Youth Academy staff members are specifically trained to effectively manage, intervene, and protect the children in our care. Our staff make "every interaction an intervention" through redirecting ineffective/inappropriate behaviors and modeling appropriate replacement behaviors. With safety being a primary focus, staff members at Seacoast Youth Academy are certified in Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI), CPR, First Aid, and suicide awareness.

Seacoast dilligently monitors and re-trains all staff in these areas of certification.

Mission Statement

It is the mission of Seacoast Youth Academy's Group Care Level III High Management program to provide the highest quality residential services for children, using a holistic approach which emphasizes the enhancement of social, emotional, and academic development in a safe, nurturing environment.

The ultimate goal of the Group Care Level III program is to stabilize, then transition children to less restrictive environments, ensuring that every child gets the most appropriate and comprehensive clinical intervention.

Additionally, transition planning is viewed as a primary focus to success and begins early in care, remaining an essential component to a child's progress toward discharge.

Children enrolled in the program benefit from the expertise of multidisciplinary professionals committed to the attainment of optimal well-being, with sustained results for each child served.

We are a Title One supported facility. We receive federal funding to provide after school educational tutoring.
